And, in Banjo Kazooie, there is a race game you need to complete 4 TIMES, and you need to slam down the A button for 3 MINUTES! Oh, and some games make you do button mashing and quicktime events at the same time… Yeah, I think I’ve said more than enough These have gotten so bad, Nintendo actually had to give out gloves so people don’t burn their hands. Mario Party games are filled with these, and NONE of them are fun. Now, button mashing is when you have to slam down the button so you can complete a certain task. The only games that does this right is No More Heroes 2 and Madworld, as they are predictable and give you more than enough time to react to them. But the biggest offender is Resident Evil 4, where they have a whole BOSS FIGHT dedicated to it. Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, you have to wait for a certain time for an enemy to attack so you can counter attack by using a quicktime event. God of War has you do it for EVERY enemy. And, the worst part, is that A LOT of games do this. A quick-time event is a moment in a game, mostly in a cutscene, where you have to press a certain button at a certain time, and if you mess up, you will die and have to start all over again. #9: Quick-Time Events/Button Mashers - Now, these are two things that I hate equally. So, incase you didn’t notice, Call of Duty did something better than Dead Rising AND Fable… I rest my case Call of Duty: Modern Warfare shows a cutscene while the game loads. However, there are games that actually use the loading screens as ways to move the story along.
Dead Rising 2’s loading screen does the same as Fable, only this time, the areas are much shorter, so why does the loading screen need to be so long. Fable’s loading screens occur after every cutscene, every time you go to a new area, and every time you go to level up.
Loading screens are made to just come up all the time, and take an eternity. #10: Loading Screens - Now, we all know about these things.
Now, remember that this is my list, so if there is a thing in games that you hate, but isn’t on this list, either I have no problems with it, or I find these problems worse. Well, today, I am going to talk about the Ten Things In Games I Hate. However, what about those things that nobody likes, yet, no matter what, you see them EVERYWHERE! Yeah, you know, those things that every time you see them, you just lose all the fun that was once in the game. Now, there are a lot of things that make a game.
